Frequently Asked Questions
🥭 "Can't you just tell me exactly when my mangoes will arrive?"
We wish we had a crystal ball. Unfortunately, we only have mangoes.
Unlike products sitting in a warehouse, your mangoes are still growing on trees in Pakistan just days before they're on your table. Freshness is our priority, which means we don't keep inventory sitting around waiting to be sold.
✈️ "So... what's taking them so long?"
Buckle up. Your mangoes have quite the travel itinerary.
- They're picked fresh from orchards in Pakistan.
- They fly to Texas.
- They immediately hop on a truck to Mississippi for mandatory irradiation.
- Then they're trucked all the way back to Texas.
- Our supplier books them on either a Tuesday or Friday flight.
- The airline decides which flight they actually make.
- They fly to California.
- They wait for an agricultural inspection.
- We finally get permission to pick them up.
Your mango has probably collected more frequent-flyer miles than most people.
🛃 "Why do inspections cause delays?"
Fresh fruit can't simply stroll into the United States.
Agricultural inspectors only work during scheduled inspection windows. If the plane lands late, cargo takes too long to unload, paperwork isn't ready, or we miss the inspection window—even by a little—the mangoes have to wait until the next available inspection.
Nobody—not us, not the airline, not even the mangoes—gets to skip this step.
📄 "What's this irradiation certificate everyone keeps talking about?"
Every shipment needs USDA paperwork proving the irradiation process was completed.
If that certificate arrives late, we can't clear inspection. No certificate, no release.
It's basically your mango's passport.
🚛 "Why don't you just pick them up immediately?"
Believe it or not, the airline wants us to schedule a pickup appointment 24 hours before the cargo is even ready.
The funny part?
We often don't know exactly when it'll be ready until the last minute.
Even after getting an appointment, waiting 4-8 hours at the cargo warehouse isn't unusual before the mangoes finally make their way to our truck.
📧 "Why don't I get my pickup time earlier?"
Because we'd rather send you one correct email than five emails saying,
"Actually... never mind."
Once the mangoes are physically in our possession, we can confidently organize pickup locations and delivery routes.
That's when you'll receive your confirmed pickup date and time.
🚚 "Can I change my pickup to a home delivery?"
Sometimes!
But every change affects everyone else's schedule.
One extra delivery stop, waiting a few extra minutes at one pickup point, or rerouting across town can snowball into delays for dozens of other mango lovers.
We're always happy to help when we can—we just ask for a little understanding.
❤️ "Why don't you give more advance notice?"
Because we'd rather give you accurate information than optimistic guesses.
There are simply too many moving pieces outside our control:
- International flights
- Trucking schedules
- Irradiation facilities
- USDA paperwork
- Agricultural inspections
- Airline cargo appointments
- Cargo warehouse delays
Once every one of those dominoes falls into place, you'll hear from us immediately.
🥭 "So what are you asking from me?"
Just a little patience.
We're a small family business handling thousands of miles of logistics so you can enjoy authentic Pakistani mangoes at their absolute best.
The less time they spend sitting in storage, the more time they spend making you wonder why you didn't order another box.
Trust us—it'll be worth the wait.
